Our extra-curricular highlights
STEM Opportunities
At Cabramatta High School, students are encouraged to explore their curiosity through engaging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programs. From coding and robotics to university partnerships and hands-on workshops, our students gain valuable problem-solving and teamwork skills that prepare them for future pathways in science and innovation.
As one student, Nghi (Yr 7), shared after attending the UTS STEM Program, “It was an incredible experience seeing how engineering connects to everyday life. Testing drones during the workshop deepened my understanding of STEM skills.”
Volleyball at CHS
Volleyball is an integral part of Cabramatta High School’s culture, bringing together students across all year levels through teamwork, dedication, and school spirit. Our teams compete year-round in local, state and national competitions, including the NSWCHS Knockout Series and the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup, with outstanding success across both boys’ and girls’ divisions. Students can also take part in our after-school volleyball program for beginners and advanced players, led by experienced coaches.
As one student, Danny, shared, “Volleyball has completely changed my life — it’s more than just a sport; it’s a community that builds confidence, teamwork and lasting friendships.”
Theatre Club
The Theatre Club at Cabramatta High School gives students the chance to express themselves creatively and build confidence in a fun, supportive environment. Through theatre games, improvisation and group performances, students learn to collaborate, think on their feet, and develop strong communication skills. Each week, members practise new techniques and explore different aspects of drama, from character building to stage presence, helping them grow both on and off the stage.
As one student reflected, “Theatre Club helped me find my voice. I’ve learned to step outside my comfort zone, be creative, and have fun with people who love performing just as much as I do.”
Environment Club
The Environment Club at Cabramatta High School empowers students to take action on global and local environmental issues. Members discuss topics such as sustainability, climate change and conservation, while working together on school-based initiatives that make a difference. The club also organises fundraising events and awareness campaigns to support environmental and humanitarian causes, encouraging students to become active global citizens.
As one member shared, “Being part of the Environment Club has opened my eyes to how small actions can create real change. It feels good knowing we’re helping both our school and the planet.”
