Cabramatta High School Council
The Cabramatta High School Council provides an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to work together in shaping the future direction of our school. The Council plays an important advisory role, helping to develop and support the school’s vision, policies and priorities that best meet the needs of all students.
Council meetings are attended by the Principal and members of the Executive Team, who provide updates on school initiatives, events, and upcoming projects. These meetings allow members to stay informed about school planning and to contribute ideas that enhance student learning and wellbeing.
The School Council also:
- Works collaboratively with the school community to develop the School Management Plan, educational goals, and broad budget priorities
- Helps identify strategies to support and extend students’ abilities, talents, and diverse learning needs
- Represents the views of parents, staff, and community in school discussions and decision-making
- Builds strong connections with local schools, community groups, and organisations
- Promotes a positive image of Cabramatta High School within the wider community
The School Council meetings are usually held on Wednesday evenings, twice per term, in the school library from 6:00–8:00pm. Meetings are pleasant and friendly, with interpreters available for those who need them. It is an excellent way to stay informed and involved in what is happening at Cabramatta High School.
Through open communication and shared decision-making, the Council fosters genuine collaboration between the school and community ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive.
