High potential and gifted education

Cabramatta High School is committed to high quality education and strives to fulfil the educational potential of each student.

Cabramatta High School aims to identify high potential and gifted students, maximise their learning outcomes and support these students to achieve their learning potential. High potential and gifted students are found in all communities regardless of ethnic, cultural or socio-economic backgrounds. The gifted population includes students who are underachieving and who have disabilities.

High potential and gifted children can be placed in our Advanced Learning Class, which will provide them with opportunities to take part in our Accelerated Mathematics program, gifted education and engage with STEM and mentoring initiatives to pursue academic excellence.

The Advanced Learning Class exam is a placement test used to select high potential and gifted Year 6 students for the school’s advanced learning programs each year. Our Advanced Learning Class test is offered to all Year 6 students within the enrolment zone of Cabramatta High School. Check your school enrolment zone.
