  • My child is on a temporary resident visa, can they still apply? Yes.
  • How is the Advanced Learning Class different from the other mainstream classes? Students in our Advanced Learning Class will be provided with opportunities to take part in our Accelerated Mathematics program, gifted education and engage with STEM and mentoring initiatives to pursue academic excellence.
  • My child is applying for Selective High Schools, can they still apply for the Advanced Learning Class? Yes. Please notify us if your child is accepting a place at a Selective High School so another student can be considered for placement into the class.
  • How many students are in the Advanced Learning Class? The class is capped at 24 students. In 2024, due to demand and the exceptional results of applicants, 2 Advanced Learning Classes were formed.
  • Is the Advanced Learning Class just for Year 7?  In Year 7 students are in the Advanced Learning Class for all subjects. In Year 8 to 10, to cater for individual student differences, students are placed into individual high-performing classes for core subjects based on their results at the end of year 7.
